„The heavy floods in our area this week has cut-off access to all Sabi Sabi lodges . All our guests and staff were safely evacuated by Thursday morning 19th January.

Due to the extensive and severe damage to our roads, with some low level bridges still submerged, safari vehicles will have very limited access to areas within the reserve.  In order to avoid erosion and long -term damage to the environment, no off- road driving will be possible. Presently we are unable to provide the quality safari experience,  for which Sabi Sabi is world renowned.
With forecasts of further rain and prevention of access to our lodges, we are operating with skeleton staff and limited supplies. Therefore we have decided to close all four lodges until Monday the 23rd January. We will reopen on Tuesday 24th January 2012, weather permitting.

Thank you for your concern and understanding through this challenging time.
